Franchu’s lair

• Hotel: Sol Timor in Torremolinos. The place has a lot of apartments with a kitchen, bathroom, living room and sleeping room in a decent state and has great views over the sea and port. Price is very cheap during the winter here due to the lack of tourists, and extremely expensive during the summer. In Malaga the seasonal behaviour of the prices is just the opposite.

• Meal: We went for fish for dinner to a nice restaurant called “El Roqueo” that is quite famous in this area. It is placed in a part of Torremolinos called “La Carihuela” which is next to the sea. The fish is fresh and well cooked. I recommend to taste the “Rosada” that is served in such a way that doesn’t make you bother about the bones

• Hotel: Hospederia Palacio Marques de las Torres. Nice hotel in the center of Carmona. It is placed on a very narrow pedestrian street which makes it very very quiet at night. The persons in the reception are really friendly and talkative. I’d like to thank Carmen for the great conversations we had and all the tips she gave us about Carmona.

• Meal: We went for tapas in Carmona to a place called “La Taberna del Zahorí” and to another one called “Mingalario“.

• Other: In Sevilla, we visited La Catedral, La Giralda, Los Reales Alcazares, El Parque de Maria Luisa, the Plaza de España and had a nice walk in the Santa Cruz Quartier.
