WTF! What kind of world are we living in?
I was browsing and found this image, that has left me flabbergasted.

In case you didn’t notice, Britney’s sister pregnancy seems to be much more important than the new budget assigned by the US Congress for war spending, or even the mass graves that have been found in Irak!
These are the kind of things that I still can’t understand from Americans. They are so prude that sometimes it goes way past the ridiculous and indecent point. I can see all these parents saying “OMG! She’s pregnant and she’s only 16! What are we going to tell our kids!?” Ok, she’s very young, way too young to have kinds IMHO, but it is something that has always happened and will keep happening as long as these topics are treated as a taboo by the society.

Frases míticas
El otro día navegando por del.icio.us me encontré una página en la que recopilaban una serie de frases míticas por su bordería extrema.
Algunas de las que más me han gustado han sido:
- Yes, I am an agent of Satan, but my duties are largely ceremonial.
- Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental.
- I like you. You remind me of when I was young and stupid.
)
- Hoy no es un buen día para interactuar conmigo (en el mismo tono de antes :P)
- Es que hay que enamorarlas a todas! (si es que en el fondo es un latin lover)
Si teneis alguna frase mítica más, ponedla en los comentarios

Nerding wishlist (16/12/07)
I read somewhere that it is useful to empty your mind from time to time and that’s what I want to do in this post.
Lately I have been having lots of thoughts of things I want to do with technology/computing/… so I’d rather write them down, than having them randomly popping and fading in my memory.
- SQL Server to PostgreSQL replication
- PostgreSQL database manipulation to use PostGIS capabilities
- Play a little bit with R and its Python bindings
- KML filtering on demand (provide the information in a single KML to a server, and have it filter the data based on a bounding box passed as a parameter to streamline the file size transmitted to the client)
- Java source code reverse engineering to obtain the UML compliant class diagram. I found java2xmi but didn’t have much time to play around with it yet. I also found out about JavaML which provides an XML representation of java source code and thus makes manipulation much easier. There is some documentation online on JavaML manipulation with XSLT to create XMI but couldn’t find it. It would be interesting to give it a try
- Take the previously generated XMI file and provide a web2.0-looking web view of the class diagram.
- Integrate the previous two ideas into the online collaborative development environment Parade.
- Play with Android
- Develop an application for the AppleTV to display relevant info for me (weather, agenda, traffic information, …)
- Finish the implementation in RoR of the project that will make me rich
- Add some functionality to pligg for the junknews.eu - 100% junk, 100% news, 200% junknews! website that I started with some friends
If you have any ideas/hints/links/… to get me started on any of them, please tell me in the comments
